The front page
Perhaps you can help the board of directors in your organization to clearly change goals in relation to the organization’s vision. When the guiding star is clear, it significantly aids in the change program and crew motivation. Everyone then knows the organization’s direction and can contribute.
A useful practice is “the front page”:
- Ask the members of the board of directors to create a front page of a newspaper from a future day. What news would they like to see about their organization? This can include results, staff, work environment, culture, etc.
- Have them share and discuss their front pages to gain insights. Spending time creatively discussing the organization’s direction can yield new insights and sharper change goals.
